We welcome you to stop by and join us for Sunday worship at the 10:00 am traditional service in the Sanctuary or 11:30 am praise and worship service in Fellowship Hall. Communion is held on the first Sunday of every month at both services from September through June.
Mayfair is a very relaxed place to come and worship. Many people enjoy and attend both worship services. We are a small congregation where everyone is very close, but always ready to welcome anyone new with open arms. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take our commitment to God very seriously. We always try and work together to help each other and our community.
We try and announce church and most neighborhood events and activities during both services. Be sure and bring home one of our weekly bulletins for a complete list of all announcements and also for those on our prayer concerns list needing our prayers. If you have an announcement that should be included, or you or someone you know needs to be included in our prayer concerns list, please let us know. We believe that the power of prayer is all important and definitely alive at MPC!
The 10:00 am traditional service is more formal. During the traditional service Sunday school lessons and child care is provided in our nursery. Choir sings at all services except for the 1st Sunday of each month when there is often special music. During the summer months choir takes a break, but there is still singing to be heard! Individuals and groups sing throughout the summer. Practice for choir is at 9:00 am each week in the choir room in the lower level. After the 1st service, join us for "coffee and sweet treats" social time in the upper level.
The 11:30 am praise and worship service
is more relaxed. We want you to make this worship service your own. Everyone is welcome to sing and clap along with the songs or close your eyes and feel God as He surrounds you. Enjoy the music and learn from the sermons and scripture lessons. Some of the musicians are our children who do a wonderful job on their instruments. Coffee and treats are available from 11 am and may be enjoyed during the service.
Choir Practice is held every Sunday morning at 8:30am and Wednesday evenings at 6pm. Except in the summer when the choir is on hiatus. Choir practice will resume in mid August and the choir will resume singing September 8.
